Floral Photo Preservation
All the photos bellow are of fresh flowers from special events and taken within 1-3days after. Because they are fresh and have been on display for a full day this process needs to happen quickly before they wilt too much. The flowers are hand picked from the event, ready to be photographically preserved by a high quality scanner.

This process takes time with lots of trial and error, nudging and rearranging the flowers over and over again to get the perfect framing. First starting off with the buds still attached to the stem until happy with the outcome. Then, nipping the bud to capture the beauty of the flower's center. And lastly, carefully removing pedals to fill the frame.

And of course, like any photograph, the scanned photos are edited to make sure their true colors are shown and any possible dust specs are removed.
Josefina Garcia

Josefina Garcia / Guelita Fina - These flowers hold a special place in my heart. My Grandmother passed away in late 2020 due to covid. These are just a few flowers I grabbed before leaving her funeral. I don't know why, but I chose to scan these, to preserve them in time. Although her favorite color was purple, these carnations are what my mother bought for her since they were her favorite. Us 3 were all very close, so to me, these flowers represent her beauty and bright look in life. May she rest in piece looking down over her big family.
Treadwell Wedding

Jennette & Corey Treadwell - These flowers are from all over the wedding, from the bridal bouquet to table centerpieces, They wanted all the arrangements to come together as one. While creating these photos I kept the light winter vibes they had throughout their wedding day.
Fresh Start

Fresh Start - This here is from the first time I started messing around with fresh flowers. I absolutely love flowers and wish I could keep them forever but sadly I don't have a green thumb for a garden and a fresh bouquet only lasts so long. So in an attempt to keep them forever, at peak bloom, I freeze them in time. Preserved in the black void, truly letting their beauty shine!
Morales Wedding

Vanessa & Miguel Morales - After a long and wonderful late spring wedding (more like summer with the south Texas heat) I grabbed flowers from the centerpieces and a couple of roses from the bride's all-white bouquet. They had a beautiful blue color scheme so I wanted to incorporate the blue hydrangeas as much as possible.
Jennette Carranza

Jennette Carranza - I didn't know her well but her family informed me her favorite color was yellow and her favorite flower was the sunflower. These photos are from her memorial service. I grabbed a little from all the arrangements she was given but made sure to keep the yellow and sunflower prominent in each photo. May she rest in piece.
